True story of a Second World War deserter who sought refuge in a pigsty for 41 years! Hiding in a pigsty since deserting from the Soviet Army ten years ago is Pavel Ivanovich Navrotsky. He is looked after by his loyal long-suffering wife Praskovya. The authorities believe he has been killed. The local war memorial is about to be unveiled should Pavel give himself up?
