A Trip to Scarborough archiveAn adaptation of the original play by R.B. Sheridan. The Royal Hotel is haunted! Amidst the scurry and flurry of modern day 21st century holiday makers and conference delegates with their iPods and their mobile phones, lurk ghosts from earlier times, the mid 20th and 18th centuries. Tom Fashion, Sheridan's penniless buck, rubs invisible shoulders with present day philandering husbands and anxious young wives from the 1940s awaiting news of missing fighter pilot husbands. Add in a live band in fancy dress, a murderous major, a hapless heroine, a crusty father with a blunderbuss, an unexpected guest appearance by the fabulous Andrew Sisters and a swindling scam involving the original Sheridan manuscript of A Trip to Scarborough and the result is a fast moving and hilarious spin through the ages!
