This funny, fresh and disarming play reveals snapshots of a century of change and shows how village lives of its inhabitants. In the past there was the 'big house', the servant class and the close-knit family ties of a bygone generation. Not it is big business, commuter residents, no shops and no locals and nothing stays the same for very long. In the 1930's Edie Cox was desperate to escape the claustrophobic confines of rural life, where everyone knew everything about everyone. In the present Edie's niece Dorothy is fighting to hang on to what she can of the 'good old days'. Is it time to grieve for the past and embrace the career, money obsessed society in its place? A Warwickshire Testimony is a powerful illustration of a rapidly changing way of life, focusing on loves, traumas and disputes.
