In this year of reflecting on the Magna Carta and the rights of man we have a play loosely based on the true story of one Georgina Weldon whose husband took extreme measures to curb her rights and her interest in Spiritualism. We have played a little with the time period (Victorian) and filled in unknown quantities in the lives of those involved, invented some characters and introduced a character a little out of his time. What we give is a suggestion of the time. The women in this play express wishes for their sisters to follow them and perhaps their wishes remain unfulfilled to some degree.
