Acts of Defiance - The Festival, is an explosive examination of female dissidence and a shameless celebration of women's global defiance. Six female writers explore six crazily diverse worlds from Orlando to Pakistan to Essex (Sept. 5th-7th & the 10th). Acts Of Defiance Film And Spoken Word Night features twenty new filmmakers produce specially commissioned micro films, playing alongside spoken word performance and rap (Sept. 9th). Acts Of Defiance: Evolving Work Made In The Community shares evolving pieces by Kay Ashead featuring real-life women who have faced persecution (Sept. 8th) Following the performance of plays on the 10th, we debate Can Theatre Ever Change Anything? (Sept. 10th)
