Helen and George Butler are a happy middle-aged couple whose children have finally left the nest. Gone! Good! At last, after all those years of bringing up their three sons they are thrilled to be Alone Together Again, free to do the things they always wanted to - but not for long! When the doorbell rings they fear it is one of their offspring flying back to the comforts of home. But the person who enters, with a suitcase, is not a child but Helen's father. Soon to be followed by Helen's mother with George's mother not so far behind.
