Based on the music of Jacques Brel. Winner of the Edinburgh Fringe First and the Total Theatre Award for Best Overall Production (1999). Born in 1929, Jacques Brel was one of the most respected singer/songwriters of his generation. This astonishing piece of music theatre rediscovers the genius of his music with its aching melodies and sharp, often cruel lyrics. Winner of 2000 Barclays Theatre Award for Best Musical.
