In Apollo's Night, a dark and comic play, the embittered Arthur and his younger, increasingly successful wife, Bianca, are at the tail-end of their marriage. At a dinner party carefully arranged by Bianca, Rose, John and, of course, Jane, Arthur's ex-wife, gather to celebrate the sale of a painting 'Apollo'.
