B is for Black follows the rise, then fall from grace of Ben Nelson. A Black man who attended Oxford, Ben eagerly begins his first day at West Chamberlayne Arts (WCA), a government funded arts organisation. Ben is determined to show his new colleague, Imani, promoter of a local Pan-African movement, that he isn t just another Uncle Tom. However, when Ben s White middle class wife and father-in-law appear at the WCA office, Imani begins to doubt the validity of his claims.
