During February 2006 a gang of armed robbers kidnapped a security guard and his family in order to gain access to a Tonbridge warehouse, from which they then successfully stole 53 million pounds. The robbery subsequently provoked a massive manhunt with hundreds of police searching all over the South East of England for the culprits.
