Barren & The Revlon Girl archiveBased on real-life events following the Aberfan mining disaster of 1966, The Revlon Girl tells the story of a group of bereaved mothers who held meetings in the aftermath of the disaster to cry and share and even laugh. But at one meeting the mothers realize how much they had let themselves go. Afraid they would be thought frivolous by the village, they secretly arranged for a representative from Revlon to come and give a demonstration... Barrenpowerfully explores the largely forgotten plight of those who can't have children. Andi and Vic have learned they will never have children of their own. Coming to terms with it seems a matter of time until a troublesome little boy enters their lives...
