Basin Streetblues archiveAlbert Quick, a miner from the North East of England, is disillusioned with Britain in the wake of World War I. He travels to New Orleans where he hopes to secure work at an 'establishment' owned by Jimmy Dodds whom he met in France. Upon his arrival he discovers 'Jimmy's' is in fact a bordello run by a former prostitute, May, under the auspices of the Mafia - in the shape of Tony Gambetto. As the story unfolds May, Tony and 'Jimmy's' girls discover the real reason for Albert's travelling. Contains strong language and adult content.
