A supply teacher has locked the door and run out on a group of pupils at Wootton Bassett School... Spencer has been told to face the wall and intends to do so and Dean should have gone to the toilet before class. All of the pupils are aware that out on the street a repatriation of another fallen British soldier is about to begin and Leo really wants to go.
Bassett is a darkly comic, powerful look at young people questioning their country and beliefs while living in a world where they can hardly remember a time when we were not at war.
