Following the critically successful, sell out productions of Our Mutual Friend and Defiance, Hull Truck Youth Theatre's 16+ groups are joining forces for the first time with three of Hull Truck Theatre's Supported Companies, some of the most exciting independent theatre companies in the city, fresh from their own success in the city and beyond. The result will be three unique productions celebrating the diversity of work being made in the city and the next generation of theatre makers.Bellow Theatre Double Bill/Roaring Girls - T2111898165A Double Bill - Bellow Theatre are a Hull based new-writing company rooted in brave and stirring storytelling. We explore stories that have a life of their own, that twist, turn, and collide. We often bring live folk music into the mix and always try to champion the downtrodden, forgotten, excluded, or silenced. Our work is intimate, moving, and celebrates DIY aesthetics. Roaring Girls - We are The Roaring Girls. We use personal narratives, often our own, to create our work, which explores big issues and little idiosyncrasies. It's somewhere in between theatre and a conversation: interactive, improvised, intimate. It is tactile theatre for those glued to screens. Our work is fun and rebellious. It's honest.
