Production details

Nothing Is Certain But Expense by James Cross and Desmond Truscott @james_cross1993 - Have you ever found yourself in a place far different from anything you know, where you don't quite understand the rules or know what to do or say? Nothing is Certain but Expense is a surreal, physically engaging portrayal of such a bewildering time. When James first arrives in London, everything is too busy, too systemised, too expensive and a far cry from anything in his previous experience. Will he sink or swim in a city where no one has any time for anyone else? You Have Been Consulted by My Own Private Submarine @kateweb - You have been consulted; we will carefully consider all comments received when we make our decision about the future of your street, your home, your family. This devised piece is based on the experience of a local Somerstown resident, using verbatim responses from Camden's consultation. When their area is threatened by HS2 demolition, local people are asked what they want for the future of their streets, their park and their sunlight. But being consulted doesn't mean getting what you want. When all building is "development" and your kids' ability to play outside is "provision of open social space", whose boxes are really being ticked? Frame Dead by Finn Beames @finnbeames - Finn Beames is a director and writer. His previous work includes Man: 3 plays by Tennesse Williams as winner of the 2015 Genesis future directors award at the Young Vic, and he is currently the Lina Bo Bardi fellow with the British Council and SESC (Brasil). Having been kicked out of London in May last year, he is currently based nowhere. This work is about that problem.
