This new version of Othello has been adapted to fit a small space using only six actors but with the essence of Shakespeare's original text. Newsflashes and phone conversations fill in the gaps to give a running time of about two hours. Desdemona finds herself on the threshold of a new life as trophy wife of an up and coming general. Although not completely inexperienced in the ways of the world, nothing can prepare her for the depths to which men will sink to achieve power and revenge in the male dominated world of the military.
