In a corporate future run by corrupt big business, the airlines claim that all risk has been eliminated from air travel. The Air-Crash Investigation Unit survives however, illegally pedalling snapshots of truth extracted from the black box flight recorders recovered from disappeared planes. Recently returned from a critically acclaimed run at the Seattle Fringe Festival, Talking Birds draws on Kafka's The Trial and Terry Gilliam's Brazil in this futuristic exploration of the black box recorder.
