Body House (vers. 2) archiveThe provocation for ?Body House (vers. 2)' is exile and displacement. The exile is never too dependent on permanence and knows everything is provisional. Unstable, shifting: to exist in more than one location, to exist in more than one place, forever moving, always walking... After years of asking ?where is home?'... Looking for home as a physical, geographic location, having an epiphany, a moment of truth in coming to the realisation that "my body is my home". And from here on the journey really begins... Mobilising the concept of the body as a house with many rooms and windows, echoing Marina Abramovic's ?house cleaning', clearing the house, getting rid of the junk, spring cleaning to create more spaces and stillness from within. Exploring fragments of memory as a geography, and extracting images from it. ?Body House (vers. 2)' is a personal and solo journey into the realms of dislocation, rootlessness and homesickness in troubled times.
