Brother, My Brother/The Cobbler archiveBrother, My Brother: The inspiration for this play came from an incident that occurred on the Green Line when a young Greek Cypriot soldier was shot dead by a Turkish solider. (Presented in dual language). The Cobbler: No boats dock on the island called Inishbollock, so no-one can leave...but this wasn't always the case and strangely, this coincides with the arrival of a cobbler whose natural gift for mending and moulding shoes astounds those that dwell on the island. But the boots aren't all that's being recycled on the island, the morgue is offering 20 per cent off all cremations 'to provide a better service to the community!' Most people are keeping their heads down, however there are a small minority that won't let it rest and a great escape is planned.
