A modern fable for the young and young at heart. Mary-Ann, a young girl complicit in the bullying of another child in her class, and unable to make even the smallest attempt to grin in her role as the Cheshire Cat in the school play, slips into a heavy and frustrated sleep. Her dreams shuffle the world of her classroom, Alice, and the bedtime stories of Nebuchadnezzar and Goliath as surely as if they had been tossed into the air by the Queen of Hearts herself. Now she must learn to 'keep her head!'
