Maddy's big day had not gone according to plan, and her Dad's theory that the cake of life is only as good as the ingredients therein, is portentous, as wedding speeches turn into dirges and skeletons come clattering out of cupboards. As the guests use the reception as an arena to unload, it seems the missing groom is the least worry of all.
