My Dad is a superhero. No one else knows but that's cos it has to stay a secret, cos all superheroes have to not tell people they're superheroes, cos they just can't. Him and my Mum don't live in the same house anymore cos that's what happens sometimes and everyone has different parents. He lives next door which is actually very lucky don't you think? I can go round whenever I want.

Captain Amazing is a script-in-hand performance of a new play by Alistair McDowall (Bruntwood Prize winner 2011), performed by Mark Weinman. Using a blend of stand-up comedy and storytelling, Alistair McDowell's Captain Amazing is the second of Live Theatre and The Empty Space's bursary winners.
