Celebrating Severus archiveYork Theatre Royal Young Actors Company will be creating a new devised work as part of a week of performances, events, new exhibits, and workshops at The Yorkshire Museum to celebrate the life and legacy of African Roman Emperor Septimius Severus who came to Eboracum (Roman York) in 208, and died in the city in 211. Inspired by the objects, stories and life of Septimius Severus and taking a sideways look at our source material our work will present a contemporary re-imagining of fragments of our ancient history.
