Check Mate is a fresh and imaginative light comedy set around the pieces of a chess board. The white royal court is determined not to loose face despite the best efforts of the gangsters in the black royal court. Amid the chaos of jesters, thuggish security men and bishops, the black king embarks on an affair with the white queen bringing things to a brilliant climax!
