After murdering her husband Agamemnon on his return from the Trojan War, Clytemnestra rules as queen in the palatial city of Argos. But when an evil dream troubles her sleep and she sends her daughter Electra to pray at Agamemnon's tomb, little does she know that her exiled son Orestes has already returned on a mission to avenge his father. The renowned Oxford Greek Play returns to the Playhouse with Clytemnestra, a dazzling new adaptation of Aeschylus' tragedy The Libation Bearers. Performed in Ancient Greek with a new digitally projected English translation.
