For Daniel, meeting Alexander meant an end to a lifetime of suppressed feelings and the start of a relationship that would bring out the best in him. But a debilitating brain injury shatters his life, his relationship with his sister and his partnership with a lover who must become his carer. This injury - known as Locked-In Syndrome - leaves him mentally alert and healthy, yet physically completely paralysed apart from eye movement. Somehow Daniel must learn to accept his reality and show those closest to him that he is still with them.
