It's Sports Day but Barnaby has a cold - so there's no school for him today. He is completely miserable, and can't even say his own name properly because his nose is so blocked... It looks like it will be the worst day ever - until a delegation of aliens arrives in search of a legendary athlete who can help them win a race against their arch-rivals! "Darnaby" joins them on an intergalatic adventure that will see him taking part in teh most exciting race of his life - but will he be able to save the day?
