The trenches at the Somme July 1916. Edwin Hassall, Bombardier, finds a mysterious chocolate packet from "Little Joan." Intrigued, he writes to her. The true story of the letters from The Chocolate Soldier to Little Joan and her father, is told movingly and amusingly, by three actors, in a cabaret style performance with poetry and popular songs from the period.
