Dear Tim: Echoes of Death Row archiveWould YOU grant Tim a retrial? Swithin Fry dramatically tells the story of his visit to a draughty Death Row cell block in Ohio to meet inmate A328139, his penpal Tim Coleman; and how that meeting led him to uncover a maze of legal catch-22s in Tim's bid for a retrial. Poignant, often humourous, Swithin's true-life story asks: 'Why is Tim still on Death Row despite another Death Row inmate confessing to the murder 14 years ago.' After Swithin, a retired lecturer, met Tim, a "retired drug dealer", he felt compelled to get to the truth. He emailed top defence attorneys and also other inmates, the man who confessed to the murder and another who admits lying against Tim in the trial. Not expecting replies from any of them...
