Distant Early Warning archiveSet in 2053 in what was once Greenland, the play explores human relationships both on a large scale and with the ones we love and protect. Distant Early Warning (DEW) is a system of radar stations set up and operated during the Cold War by the US, Canada, Greenland and Iceland, to detect incoming bombers of the Soviet Union. The reference to DEW line draws a parallel surreal theme of people fighting each other from a hundred years ago (and of course much longer than that) all the way til the "end of the world", which doesn't look exactly as distant.
