Drive, Ride, Walk archiveAlongside the weather, transport must be the main topic of conversation amongst Londoners - packed tube trains, road-rage and road-works, leaves on the line and misuse of bus lanes, the ongoing war between motorist and cyclist and that's even before we start on the congestion zone and parking fines. Drive, Ride, Walk tells the story of three different journeys through London and the hopes and fears of those making them. Newly qualified driver Rah takes four friends with him on a whirlwind tour around the congestion zone, Using jazz, dynamic Brazilian body percussion and a tongue in cheek homage to "boy band" style, Drive explores the aggression, unhappiness and rage caused by a city car journey. In Ride, a cyclist's brief encounter with a pedestrian offers the hope of romance and sets the scene for further encounters during the day, and the commuters whose daily routine of tube, escalators, and packed pavements in Walk is disrupted when one of them changes direction and decides it's time to stop and smell the flowers, (if only there were some on London Bridge) and dream of what other life he might be living. + Choirs based in the venues.
