In a series of interweaving monologues, four people challenge themselves to speak honestly about the things we think but don't say; exposing the struggle between how they really feel and how they are conditioned to feel. Though these four people never interact, their stories eventually collapse and collide towards a shared place and a shared experience. Investigating human connection and social isolation by placing the audience at the very centre of the experience-offering them the opportunity to feel that they are part of something vital and important - Enveloped in Velvet is an arresting piece of theatre that provokes audiences simply by speaking to them, directly.
