Hamletmachine, The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant and Garbage, the City and Death are some of the works for stage and screen on which Rainer Werner Fassbinder built his reputation as a radical, abrasive and vital contributor to German politics and culture until his death in 1982. Tonight and tomorrows FASSBINDER IN FOCUS events re-examine and celebrate his legacy. Students from the BA (Acting) course return to the Tron Theatre after their recent successful participation in the Canadian Six Stages Festival. The aim of this now well established series of mini-festivals is for actors and audience to encounter a range of contemporary material in a spirit of exploration and exchange.
