A fun and feisty new play that brings to life five glamorous, independent and deliciously witty women from different times and places. The play is about five real women who all lived in eras and cultures when women were defined purely through their sexuality - as a wife, mother, virgin or whore. All five lived on the precarious margins of society, yet each of them managed to survive and even thrive - gaining a level of independence and autonomy unheard of at the time. The play treats this theme with a light touch - deeper and darker themes are there for thoughtful audience members - but the show can be enjoyed on several levels and has an overall mood of celebration, revelling in the joyful wit and sassy sensuality of these five extraordinary women.
