Two couples. Both have what the other most wants in life. One has love, the other the promise of a future generation. Sophie and Joe have been struggling to conceive for years but are desperate to have a child. They are very much in love. Milly and Mark (Joe's brother) are eight months pregnant. The couple have a marriage of convenience and do not particularly like each other.
