Fracture

FractureT576271444
A short festival of new work concerned with the cracks in the personal, the political... the political personal. The Urban Foxes have foraged together an eclectic group of talented makers, poets, musicians and actors for a crumbling evening of new to newly born work. We are honoured to host these powerful voices, perspectives, and stories. 3 unique evenings. 3 performances a night. Its the magic number. Each evening you'll have a chance to see The Urban Foxes' new work-in-progress, followed by our Headline act, finishing up with a 15 minute burst of new writing.

...Insert Name - www.urbanfoxescollective.com | @foxescollective. ...Poetry - Joseph Minden is not a performance poet but he cares a lot about the performance of poems. He is interested in narrative, beta elements and being compelled by images. Poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Tears in the Fence, PN Review, The Literateur and other places. Flex - FLEX fuses material and flesh in a celebration of femininity. Through image and dance myneckmyback exposes the rigour of the body, fighting back against societies grasp. Associate artists and Entrepreneurs in Residence of Goldsmiths University. ...New Work - Jonathan is an actor, artistic director, curator and writer. He is currently completing his MA in Acting at East 15. The Internationals - A one woman character comedy following the adventures of 6 activists as they set up camp in the desert; come to terms with the politics of the communal compost toilet; dodge tear gas and biblical sand storms and attempt to turn group ?sharing circles' into revolutionary committees. Flic is a graduate from Drama Centre, lives in South London and loves to rap a little about history. Hell Yes I Am Tough Enough - Ned is struggling to say the least. He is an honest and vulnerable character, easily influenced by the wrong voices. A political satire exploring what it means to run a country, and the privilege and responsibility that comes with it in the Alpha male, sexist, corrupt, divided world of British Politics. The system is broken but who is going to fix it? Ben is a a graduate of Drama Centre London who uses comedy to create socially conscious and politically aware theatre.
