Frongoch archiveThe play traces back to the 1916 British Prisoner of War camp in Frongoch, near Bala in which arrested Irish political activists, such as Michael Collins, Tomas MacCurtain and Terence MacSwiney were held. Described by some as the University of Revolution, for its role in focusing the minds of its internees prior to Ireland's radical Independence, Frongoch is a play performed in Welsh, Irish and English that poetically reflects on its nations' freedom.
