God and Stephen Hawking archiveStephen Hawking is one of the icons of our age. His book, A Brief History in Time, exploring the Big Bang, black holes and other mysteries of the universe, has sold over 25 million copies. As remarkable is Hawking's own life, extended now several decades beyond the time the doctors pronounced him terminally ill and filled with achievement, drama and controversy enough for a dozen lives. With a cast of characters that includes Hawking himself, his wives and associates, Newton, Einstein, Pope John Paul, the Queen and God, God and Stephen Hawking is a major new theatrical production, an extraordinary revelation of the life and vision of one of the most famous and revered men on the planet.

User Review: 11Jan01: I saw this in Bath. This seemed a very difficult subject for a play and so it proved. Robert Hardy's acting was wonderful, but the play was very wordy. Actually I find cosmology interesting, but it is not really why I go to the theatre. I felt it would have been more entertaining if there had been more emphasis on Hawking's interesting life, and less physics.
