First team provided a first class performance and what surely must be one of the highlights of this year's Old Laundry festival. Neil Metcalfe gave an exceptional and highly polished performance as stubborn Henry Hobson Kerry Willison-Parry was witty and wonderful as the assertive and resourceful eldest daughter Maggie and Lesley Skelton (Alice) and Rachael Marsden (Vickey) were flighty and funny as the other two Hobson offspring. However, Hobson's Choice could easily become The Rise of Will Mossop. And for me it was actor Andrew Barrow's finest moment as Will, the meek and mousey, yet shoemaker genius, who, once Maggie took him under her petticoat, was transformed into a bold and successful man. Andrew's lines were superbly delivered and his mannerisms had the Bowness audience roaring with laughter. It was a great night's entertainment, and all the 12 strong cast were outstanding. Another feather in the theatrical cap of Mr Energetic, director Richard Foster.
