Hollywoodland archiveHollywoodland is a cynical, blunt and intrusive look at opportunism, the sexes and the desire to succeed lurking under the outward glamour of Los Angeles' most famous district. Vicky is an English actress trying to break into Hollywood. Or is she? Delicate, emotional and defensive? Or clever, shrewd and manipulative? How about simply delusional? Vincent is an all-American charmer. A pet-store owner who just wants to meet Miss Right. Once again, however, all is not as it seems. What exactly is Vincent's interest in perfect stranger Vicky and how does a native Los Angeleno know so little about his city? And then of course, floating in everyone's peripheral, is Peg. Where does this quiet and delicate young woman fit in; and just how much control does she have? As the course of one evening proceeds, we see just how far three strangers will go to get what they want.
