In the Shadow of Wings archiveBased on the book Sagatarius Rising by Cecil Lewis 1914 - Europe is at war. Cecil Lewis and now best friend Maynard Greville, aged 16 stand on the steps of School House and deliberate how they will get to play their part. In the Shadow of Wings vividly depicts the beginnings of what was to become a life full of danger and adventure for Cecil Lewis, bringing to the stage one of the many moving and inspiring stories born from the Great War. The peice has been originally commissioned by Oundle School as part of the World War 1 centenary commemorations and will be performed by a talented ensemble from the school's fifth and sixth form.
