Everybody knows that there is nothing like a good cook to dispense 'good meals and happiness', and beyond that, what people don't know, won't hurt them. But in a small Italian mountain village community, still reeling from the effects of the German occupation and in which religion and power are confused, rumour and gossip are rife. This play unravels a dark tale of cruelty, lies and abuse within a warm Italian kitchen, preparing for a feast....
