Two plays from Alan Ayckbourn's series of plays 'Intimate Exchanges'. 'Affairs in a Tent' and 'A One Man Protest' are two very different plays, resulting from one seemingly inconsequential decision. At the start of Intimate Exchanges a woman is faced with a decision: should she resist the temptation to have her first cigarette of the day before 6pm or not? What happens afterwards depends on this one single decision.
