Their journey has been long but a people forgotten can now be a people remembered. A people who travelled through time and space found no rest, but still held on to that faith of eventually seeing 'The Promised Land'. The roots of their culture, echoes many of the traditions of Western Africa today and is celebrated in this magnificent musical work. The theatrical tapestry of song, spoken word and dance weaves an emotional and moving story of a fascinating people and an indomitable strength of spirit, courage and will to survive through all adversity.
