Lest We Forget archiveThe play tells, with a mixture of humour and pathos, the story of two best friends whose lives are changed forever by the World's worst offshore disaster. Lest We Forget is written by playwright Mike Gibb whose other works include Mother of all the Peoples, Five Pound & Twa Bairns and Clarinda. Lest We Forget is a new work by Aberdeen playwright Mike Gibb, commissioned by Aberdeen Performing Arts (APA) for the re-opened Lemon Tree Studio Theatre. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Piper Alpha Disaster, it will be performed for five days from Wednesday, July 2, culminating on the actual anniversary date, Sunday, July 6.
