Light and Darkness (Shin Meian), is adapted from Meian written by Soseki Natsume, one of the greatest novelists and literary figures of modern Japan, sometimes described as the Japanese Charles Dickens. His most widely read work is Kokoro, a rites of passage novel. Light and Darkness was published posthumously and was unfinished until now.
