T02102985135
A dramatisation of the remarkable story of Maharajah Duleep Singh for families and young audiences. Duleep Singh, Maharajah of Lahore and King of the Sikh Empire, was deposed by the British at the age of eleven and sent to England. Not only was he separated from his mother, but his most prized possession, the Kohinoor, the world's largest diamond was taken away. The Maharajah immediately became a court favourite of Queen Victoria, however, injustices and insincere intentions eventually drove him into the arms of exploitative meddlers.
