Mary Wollstonecraft archiveThe story of Mary Wollstonecraft, mother of Mary Shelley, early feminist, philosopher and writer. Mary's unorthodox views on love, marriage and sex led to many unhappy relationships but she was respected by many of the enlightened figures of her day. She fought for an independent and equal place in society for women and this play explores how far society has, or hasn't, progressed towards this goal.
