This is Ireland, pre 'Credit Union' days. A time when the pawn shop was the only place ordinary people could get a 'len' to see them through to Friday and pay day. Jim's suit, tailor made by himself, is in the pawn, where unbeknownst to him, it has resided every Monday to Saturday for the past two years. Kitty, his downtrodden wife is thrown into panic when Jim comes home on Tuesday night and tells her to iron it for a 'do' he is going to that night. Chaotic, irreverent and downright funny,
Me Da's Suit is the everyday story of the McLaughlin family, struggling to make ends meet in the middle of the troubles.
