Mirrorgame

T1774917304
"She was graceful, proud and the fairest of them all...What would your reflection say?" Mirrorgame, a twisted fairytale, plays games with the audience's perceptions of the Grimm Brothers' Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and asks whether the actions of the evil Queen are really that horrific and inexcusable. This energetic, interactive performance by four of the city's finest young actors will take you on a journey through magical and personal histories, revealing the reflections and inner monologues that we all build up of ourselves. Sometimes wry, sometimes funny, sometimes poignant, sometimes provoking, each evening's performance promises to be as fresh as each new audience.

Production details

The ensemble look to give more people the opportunity to experience the energy and oomph that live theatre creates. Mirrorgame will tour various London locations for three weeks from the end of April. The production starts on the streets around the venue with a performance called Mirror Project, which will encourage new spectators to consider doing something different that evening. Root Experience are a new theatre ensemble dedicated to exploring the boundaries that exist between playing with an audience and playing at an audience. They believe that at its essence, theatre is about bringing stories to life - to create magic from the mundane. The intention of the company is not to create performances that tell you what to think, but to create work that can bring an audience into a connected communion, where open discussion can thrive. Mirrorgame is a promenade performance. Some seating will be provided. The performance lasts approximately one hour. Lewisham Art House, 140 Lewisham Way, SE14 6PD. Box Office: 07807 311 485
